Niel Phillips and Kyle Traub saved their best for last, closing with a 10-under 62 on Sunday to capture the Louisiana Four-Ball Championship by one stroke over Dwayne Landry and Austin Rose at the Lakes at Pelican Point in Gonzales.
The Metairie-New Orleans team finished at 16-under 128 after opening with a 66 on Saturday. Their second-round surge included a seven-under back nine that featured three consecutive birdies from the 10th through 12th holes and a two-birdie finish at the par-5 16th.
