Pan, Pereira lead Washington to Lamkin San Diego Classic win

Cheng-Tsung Pan and Corey Pereira tied for first place individually to help Washington capture the title by six of North Carolina

CHULA VISTA, Calif. — Cheng-Tsung Pan kept the hot 2014-2015 season rolling with a individual win at the Lamkin San Diego Classic, tying with teammate Corey Pereira at six-under par 208. Pan won the Amer Ari Invitational in Hawaii back in February, where his Huskies took second place to Arizona State. Pereira, the 2014 Pacific Coast Amateur winner, shot 68 on the final day while Pan carded 67. The Huskies won the team title by four strokes over North Carolina, who were led by Carter Jenkins and his tied-for-fourth finish. New Mexico took third place, with senior Gavin Green also tying for fourth place.
