Pacific Northwest Amateurs Win Hudson Cup For Only Third Time in 38 Years

The amateurs won the Hudson Cup for the first time since 2011

FIRCREST, WA (October 21, 2016) -- For the first time since 2011, and only the second time since 1978, the Amateurs have won the Hudson Cup over the PGA club professionals. The Amateurs defeated the PGA professionals 12.5 points to 7.5 points at Fircrest Golf Club. Each player competed in three matches, including a foursome match, a four-ball match, and a singles match. The amateurs took a 6-4 lead into the final day and then closed the deal with a 6-4 advantage in the Friday singles. Picking up full points for the amateurs on Friday were Ryan Kelly, Conner Barr, Chris Babcock, Jack Dukeminier and Jim Dunlap.
