About the tournament
The Hudson Cup Matches and Senior
Hudson Cup Matches are conducted by
the Pacific Northwest Section of the PGA of
America in cooperation with the Oregon
and Washington State Golf Associations. The
matches
pit the top amateurs against the top professionals.
Each player plays three matches: A Foursome Match, a Four-Ball Match and a Singles Match. At the completion of the events, awards are presented to the outstanding player on each team as decided by votes of the team members. The awards honor Chuck Congdon, Larry Lamberger, Bob McKendrick, and Bill Eggers, four great players with outstanding Hudson Cup record.
Fun fact: PGA Tour player and Netflix superstar Joel Dahmen played in the Hudson Cup when he was just 20 years old.
