Alison Lee prevailed over Lori Beth Adams in 19 holes to win the 2014 North & South Women's Amateur Saturday at Pinehurst No. 8

VILLAGE OF PINEHURST, N.C. (July 19, 2014) -- Alison Lee prevailed over Lori Beth Adams in 19 holes to win the 2014 North & South Women's Amateur Saturday at Pinehurst No. 8. In the 112th playing of the event, Lee and Adams battled throughout as Adams, who plays at UNC Wilmington, won two straight on Nos. 13 and 14 to take a 1-up lead. Lee, a UCLA star who recently helped the U.S. to a dominating win at the Curtis Cup, would go on to win the 17th hole to make it all square and force the playoff. Lee won the playoff on the first hole, making a birdie. It was a dominant run to the finals for Lee, who knocked off defending champion Ally McDonald in the semifinals.
