No. 1 Oklahoma State, Oregon share The Prestige Lead

The Prestige at PGA West has been shortened to 36-holes after round one was cancelled on Monday

LA QUINTA, CA (February 20, 2018) - After the first round of The Prestige at PGA West was cancelled Monday due to high winds it was No. 1 Oklahoma State and Oregon moving into a share of the lead on the first day of play. With the tournament shortened to 36-holes both teams will begin the final round 1-under and ahead of third place Pepperdine (+1) by two-strokes, No. 12 Stanford (+2) and Northwestern (+2) are sharing fourth one shot further back. In the medalist race the pace is being set by Northwestern's Sam Triplett who signed for a 4-under 67 on the Greg Norman Course. Triplett bogeyed only once while rolling in five birdies, four of which came between Nos. 11-16. Norman Xiong (Oregon) and Franklin Huang (Stanford) share second at 3-under while five others are fourth at 3-under. Two-time defending champion LSU, ranked ninth in the country, is 3-over and four off the pace.
