By Sean Martin, Golfweek No. 1 Cal shot the day's low score for the second consecutive round and opened up an 11-shot lead on Pac-12 rival USC. The Bears shot 12-under 276 Friday after shooting a school-record 265 in the first round. Weaver is in second place after shooting 65-67, while Joel Stalter (65-68) is in third. Michael Kim, the No. 1 player in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, is in sixth place after shooting 69-68 in the first two rounds. Both Brandon Hagy and Pac-12 individual champion Max Homa shot 73. Hagy, who shot a first-round 66, is T-12, while Homa is T-34 at 1-under 143. Weaver was 1 under through 13 holes before making birdie on four of his last five holes Friday. Kim made just one bogey in the second round, while Stalter made birdie on three of the final four holes.
