Mila Tamisier Wins French International Ladies Amateur Championship

The 15-year-old Tamisier registered her second win of the year after shooting a final round 4-under 68

15-year-old Mila Tamisier from Aix-Marseille, France, delivered a stunning performance at the French International Ladies Amateur Championship, finishing with a total of 9-under par 207 after rounds of 70-69-68. The tournament unfolded at the beautiful par-72 Golf de Morfontaine in Oise, welcoming 53 talented young golfers from six nations, including Austria, Poland, the Netherlands, Germany, and Switzerland.

Entering the final round tied for second at 5-under 139, Tamisier faced a tough challenge, one stroke behind Germany’s Sophie Bingel, who had set the pace with her 36-hole total of 6-under 138. However, Tamisier's journey was anything but straightforward. After a rocky start that saw her card a double bogey on the second hole, she rebounded with six birdies to record her best score of the tournament, a 68.

Her final tally of 207 secured a decisive three-stroke victory over her nearest rivals.
Sharing the runner-up spot at 6-under par were Maja Renner and Giselle Zhao, both finishing with a total score of 210. Renner posted rounds of 70- 68-71, while Zhao's rounds included a 70-72, and a strong closing 68.

In 2024, Tamisier has already made a name for herself, participating in 10 ranked events, including a victory at the Championnat U18 Royan, a women's collegiate tournament in France this past March.
