EAGLE, Idaho — Play continued late into the evening Saturday at the Eagle Amateur at BanBury Golf Course near Boise, where Idaho's long summer days once again proved beneficial. With the official sunset not arriving until approximately 9:30 p.m. and enough remaining daylight for golf even later, several divisions were still on the course at press time, and final results will not be available until late in the day Sunday.
In the Men's Championship, Matthew Miyamoto -- who plays for the University of California Golden Bears -- set the pace in the clubhouse at 5-under-par 137 after rounds of 68-69. Miyamoto backed up his opening-round 68 with another solid effort to hold a three-shot advantage over Andy Metzler, who was still on the course when scores were posted. In the Women's Championship, Allison Cantlon, Callia Ward, and Jillian Hui were deadlocked for the lead at 6-over-par after opening rounds of 77, though all three still had plenty of golf remaining. With multiple divisions still battling the fading light, Sunday's final update should feature several tight finishes across the championship flights.
Live coverage will continue as play unfolds. Check back for round updates and final results.
