Entering the final round tied with Matthew Miyamoto, Metzler delivered the round of the tournament when it mattered most. After making the turn in 34, he caught fire on the back nine, carding a flawless 6-under 30 highlighted by birdies on Nos. 10, 11, 12, 14, 16, and 17. The closing charge transformed a tight championship battle into a seven-shot victory, the largest margin among the division winners.
Miyamoto -- the University of California golfer who opened the tournament with rounds of 68 and 69 -- remained in contention through the front nine on Sunday before a double bogey at the ninth slowed his momentum. He finished runner-up at 5-under 208. Ben Mulder posted the steadiest performance of the week with rounds of 70-70-69 to finish third at 4-under 209, while William Comstock (+2) and Bobby Kincaid IV (+3) rounded out the top five. Metzler's closing 64 was not only the low round of the championship but also the only score lower than 66 recorded during the three-day event, cementing his status as the tournament's dominant performer.
In the Mid-Amateur Championship, Cole Evarts captured the title at 4-over 217. The Women's Championship produced its own dramatic finish as Jillian Hui charged into the lead with a spectacular final-round 68, the lowest round of the entire women's competition. Hui began the day tied for third but erased a five-shot deficit with her closing charge to finish at 11-over 224, four shots ahead of Callia Ward. Allison Cantlon finished third at 16-over 229. Felicia Medalla-Kennedy claimed the Women's Mid-Amateur title by 10 shots. In the Super Senior Championship, Fran Matthias claimed the title at 7-over 149, defeating Rob Hafer by five shots. In the Women's Championship, Allison Cantlon, Callia Ward, and Jillian Hui were deadlocked for the lead at 6-over-par after opening rounds of 77, though all three still had plenty of golf remaining. With multiple divisions still battling the fading light, Sunday's final update should feature several tight finishes across the championship flights.
