BIRMINGHAM, AL (June 4, 2017) - For Matt Van Zandt 69 was the magic number this week at the Birmingham National Invitational. Playing on the West Course of the Country Club of Birmingham, Zandt fired three consecutive 69's to finish 6-under and as the winner by four shots over Woodie Eubanks. For Zandt, a former Texas A&M golfer, the victory was his first AmateurGolf.com Ranking victory since 2014 when he captured the Carlton Woods Invitational. Eubanks took second place with a 2-under showing, Bob Royak and Jack Hall shared third at 2-over while in fifth it was Clay Guerin and Steven Groover at 3-over.
