Kyle McClatchie wins Boland Amateur by two

A big second round propelled Kyle McClatchie to the Boland Amateur Open

ROBERTSON, SOUTH AFRICA (April 27, 2016) - On the strength of a second round 9-under 63 Kyle McClatchie has captured the Boland Amateur Open at Robertson Golf Club. McClatchie finished the 54-hole event at 7-under and ahead of the pack by two-strokes. McClatchie closed with a 2-over 74 but it was his stellar second round that won him the title. During Tuesday's second round McClatchie played bogey-free golf and carded nine birdies. On the back nine McClatchie was simply on fire birdieing six holes. With Wednesday's win Boland recorded his first victory of 2016 and he now has five top-10 finishes in 11 events played. His previous best finish of the season was runner-up at the EP/Border Stroke Play. Angus Ellis−Cole and Aubrey Beckley finished tied for second at 5-under. Three other golfers were tied for fourth at 2-under.
