Jelley leads Oklahoma State in win at John Hayt Invitational

Strong performances from Brandon Jelley and Jordan Niebrugge lead Cowboys to John Hayt Invitational Champions

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- The Oklahoma State Cowboys have captured their 2nd win of the season at the John Hayt Invitational hosted by Sawgrass Country Club. The Cowboys held a four-shot lead over North Florida heading into the final round and closed it out in style with a final-round 277 (11-under), their best round of the tournament. Redshirt sophomore Brandon Jelley lead the team and the field in scoring with a 9-under par total, four-shots clear of North Florida's Phillip Knowles. Senior Jordan Niebrugge also played exceptionally well for the Cowboys, firing a tournament-low 66 (6-under) in the final round to take solo 5th. Wydnam Clark, Zachary Olsen, and Nick Heinen also finished inside the top 15, showing great depth on the Cowboys' roster. North Florida took 2nd place, nine shots behind, followed by Jacksonville, Tennessee, and East Carolina.
