In Scotland, James Morgan wins The Tennant Cup

The University of Memphis golfer from Longniddry, Scotland shot 7-under, and defeated Ben Carberry on the first playoff hole

The Tennant Cup is said to be the oldest amateur competition in the world. Played over 72 holes in two days, the host club is Gailes Links Golf Club, not far from Troon.

James Morgan won the 2023 championship, but not without needing to go an extra hole (as if 36 holes of competition for two days wasn't enough). The University of Memphis golfer from Longniddry, Scotland shot 7-under, and defeated Ben Carberry on the first playoff hole.
