Haydn Porteous dominates in Northern Amateur win

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa (March 12, 2013) -- Haydn Porteous, the No. 3 ranked player in the Golfweek/amateurgolf.com World Rankings, fired rounds of 71-63-68-64--266 to capture the 2013 Northern Amateur Championship by an eye-popping 14 shots. The South African teen rolled past a solid field, including Jamie Savage of Scotland, who finished second at 280. Former Scottish Amateur Champion and GB&I Walker Cup Player, Graham Gordon finished sixth.
