“This win means a lot to me because I feel like I keep getting better and better but it’s nice to finally see a result," said Boe. "I felt like my irons and wedge play was the best part of my game this week and allowed me to make a lot of birdies. My goal going into today was just to hit fairways and give myself an opportunity for birdie.”
Edan Cui, a sophomore at Crystal Springs Uplands School in Hillsborough, Calif., finished a distant third, seven back of Boe’s pace, with Brandon Knight and Mason Benbrook tied for fourth at 1-under.
This is the fourth year of the Grapevine Amateur, held on the North Course at Silverado Golf Club. Silverado’s North Course has long been a PGA Tour stop, currently hosting the PGA Tour’s Fortinet Championship each September.
