FCG Callaway World Championship: Connor Holden, Teresa Wang take 15-18 titles

Connor Holden (Canby, OR) captured the Boys 15-18 championship at 17-under 199, carding a final-round 66 to win by five strokes at Desert Willow. The 2028 graduate, who previously qualified for the Drive, Chip, and Putt Championship in the 14-15 division, collected his first major junior title. Austin Dennis (Ventura, CA) and Mexico's Alain Marcel Petitjean Soto tied for second at 12-under 204, with Petitjean Soto firing the day's low round of 64. In the Girls 15-18 division, New Zealand's Teresa Wang closed with a 70 to finish at 6-under 210, four clear of runner-up Lynn Choi (San Jose, CA), who posted her second consecutive 70 to reach 2-under 214. Stevie Umali (San Francisco) took third at 1-under 215.

After 36 holes at Desert Willow, Oregon's Connor Holden has seized the Boys 15-18 lead at 11-under 133 following a second-round 65 that included a back-nine 33. Holden sits one clear of Brayden Johnson (Meridian, ID) at 10-under 134. Opening-round leader Miller Sato slipped to third at 9-under 135 after an even-par 72. In the Girls 15-18 division, New Zealand's Teresa Wang moved to the top at 4-under 140 with a second-round 69, overtaking Hong Kong's Cheuk Kiu Kan, who dropped to second at 3-under 141 after a 75. San Francisco's Stevie Umali sits third at 2-under 142, while Korea's Lynn Choi jumped 25 spots with a 69 to reach even-par 144.

Japan's Miller Sato posted a sizzling 9-under 63 to grab the first-round lead at the FCG Callaway World Championship at Desert Willow Golf Resort. Sato carded a 31 on his back nine to separate himself from the field. Houston's Ian Chen sits one back at 8-under 64, while San Diego's Jasper Kim is alone in third at 7-under 65.
