East of Scotland: Allyn Dick wins easily

Dick shot an 8-under 63 in Round 2 and fired even par 71 during the other three rounds to win by three strokes

FIFE, Scotland (July 1, 2012) -- Allyn Dick of Kingsnowe used consistent golf to win the 2012 East of Scotland Open Amateur Championship at Lundin Golf Club. Dick shot an 8-under 63 in Round 2 and fired even par 71 during the other three rounds to win by three strokes over Paul Ferrier of Baberton, who played well in Sunday's final round, shooting a 67, but just couldn't complete the comeback. Scott Borrowman, Michael Daily, Steven Maxwell and Neil Henderson all tied for third place at 3-under for the tournament, five back of the winner.
