Colin Prater closed with a 3-under 67 at Sonnenalp Golf Club to win his fourth Colorado Amateur Championship, joining Colorado Golf Hall of Famer Claude Wright as the only players to capture the state's premier amateur title four times.
The 31-year-old high school science teacher from Colorado Springs posted rounds of 68-67-65-67 to finish at 13-under 267, five strokes clear of runner-up Brayden Forte of Aurora. Prater's third-round 65 provided separation heading into the final day in Edwards.
