In the final round, Locatelli began three strokes behind Emma Leroy-Fabry, the overnight leader who had carded impressive rounds of 68-64 to shoot 8-under. Locatelli commenced her round steadily, notching three consecutive pars.
However, her game gained momentum as she went on a birdie spree from Holes No. 4 through 7, culminating with another birdie on No. 9. Her front-nine score of 5-under 30 granted her a comfortable three-stroke lead over Emma, who struggled to a 1-over 36 in the same stretch.
On the back nine, Locatelli continued to shine, securing two additional birdies before an unexpected bogey on No. 15, which marked only her fourth bogey in over 54 holes. Her stellar performance on the day resulted in a remarkable 6-under 64, ultimately granting her a comfortable three-shot victory.
Sara Brentcheneff, who managed rounds of 71-66, and a matching 6-under 64 to Locatelli in the final round, finished as the runner-up at 9-under. In contrast, the overnight leader, Emma, settled for fourth place with a total score of 7-under.
Locatelli is enjoying a spectacular 2023 season, having competed in more than 16 ranked tournaments, securing victory three times and achieving six additional top-10 finishes thus far.
The tournament featured 52 girls representing nine different countries, including the host nation France, as well as Austria, Germany, Spain, Norway, Belgium, Poland, Denmark, and Italy.
