Blessings Collegiate Invitational: John Driscoll uses consistent play to lead

Heading into the final round, Arkansas leads the team competition by six shots over Mississippi State.

John Driscoll has used back-to-back rounds of 4-under 68 to sit at 8-under and lead the Blessings Collegiate Invitational at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Ark.

Driscoll's second round included five birdies and one bogey. In the first round, he made six birdies and two bogeys.

Oddly enough, Driscoll has been so consistent he has birdied and bogeyed similar holes. He has birdied Holes No. 2, 8, and 17 in both rounds and bogeyed No. 9 in both rounds. The big difference in both rounds was his bogey on No. 10 in round one was a birdie in round two.

Hunter Logan of Mississippi State and Alex Goff of Kentucky are tied for second place at 4-under. Brock Winter of Minnesota and Manuel Lozada of Arkansas are T4 at 2-under.

Five golfers sit in T6 at 1-under.

In the team competition, the Arkansas "A" team sits at 13-under, six shots clear of second place Mississippi State, who sit at 7-under.

Washington is in solo third place at 1-over, and the Arkansas "B" team is in solo fourth place at 7-over, and Kentucky is in solo fifth place at 14-over.
