Birmingham National Invitational: Trent Alexander leads after Round One

After round one, Trent Alexander leads the Birmingham National Invitational at Birmingham Country Club in Birmingham, Ala.

Alexander shot a first-round 2-under 69 to lead three other golfers by one shot.

Alexander recorded six birdies and four bogeys to get to 2-under.

Keith Guest, Stewart Whitt, and Hunter Hamrick all shot rounds of 1-under 70 to sit T2 heading into the second round.

Alexander has played in the last three Birmingham National Invitationals, finishing T23, T15, and T9 in the last tournaments.

He also finished T5 in the 2019 Alabama State Amateur.
