As the snow melted at Dove Mountain, players trusted the Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x
From Team Titleist
As golfers, we've come to expect the unexpected from the WGC Accenture Match Play Championship. Sure, gather the best 64 players in the world and seed them in a bracket and watch February Madness ensue.
But, SNOW? Delaying the start of a golf tournament? The above photo from Pro V1x loyalist Ian Poulter captures the story earlier this week.
Still, Team Titleist found a way to get a few lenses around The Golf Club at Dove Mountain before hot chocolate became the beverage of choice.
And as the snow melts off the fairways and greens at Dove Mountain, the majority of players trust that performance is the Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x. Titleist is the overwhelming top choice in golf balls at the WGC Accenture Match Play Championship with 34 of the players in the field of 64 relying upon a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than three times the nearest competitor with 10, and more than all competitors combined.
Poulter is one of 21 who will be relying upon a new 2013 Pro V1 (5) or Pro V1x (16) golf ball this week.
Titleist was also the favorite in the sand, lob and approach wedge category (49).
