3. Sacramento City Men's Championship – Haggin Oaks (Sacramento, CA)
This 36-hole stroke play tournament is open to amateur golfers and is played on the Alister MacKenzie Course at Haggin Oaks. The event provides a competitive platform for local and regional players to experience a course steeped in history and architectural significance.
4. South of Ireland Championship – Lahinch Golf Club (Lahinch, Ireland)
Established in 1895, this prestigious amateur tournament is held annually on the Old Course at Lahinch Golf Club. MacKenzie's 1927 redesign introduced innovative features that continue to challenge competitors.
5. Sharp Park Club Tournaments – Pacifica, CA
This one’s different. You don’t need a college team or an international flight. You just need to join the club.
Yep—you can become a member at Sharp Park, MacKenzie’s only seaside public course in America. The Sharp Park Golf Club runs monthly tournaments like:
- The Par 3 Shootout
- 4-Person Scramble

- The infamous 666
