Wells Williams of Vanderbilt secured the individual victory as the Tigers dominated the final round
The defending national champions are getting hot at the right time.
The No. 2 Auburn Tigers finished 38-under to win the 2025 Mason Rudolph Championship at Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn.
Host school Vanderbilt led after 36 holes, but a final round 16-under 268 from the Tigers saw them erase the deficit and secure a five-shot win over Ole Miss. The Tigers finished with rounds of 276-270-268 to get to 38-under and secure their third win in the last four events.
“Very proud of the way our guys adapted and responded in adverse conditions,” head coach Nick Clinard told Auburn Athletics after the win. “That type of focus and maturity will be of great benefit to us during the postseason. We’ll need more of that if we want to make a run deep into May.”
The championship was originally a three-day event, but due to flooding in the area, it was reduced to two days of continuous play.
The Tigers also won the General Hackler and Southern Highlands this season, both going wire-to-wire.

Ole Miss finished in solo second place at 33-under, and Vanderbilt finished in solo third place at 27-under. Kentucky finished in solo fourth place at 12-under, and Charlotte finished in solo fifth place at 8-under to round out the top five.
In the individual competition, Wells Williams carded impressive rounds of 63-68-67 to get to 15-under and win by two shots over Jackson Koivun of Auburn.
Koivun is currently ranked No. 3 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com World Rankings and carded rounds of 67-66-67.
Carson Bacha of Auburn finished in solo third place at 12-under, and Brendan Valdes of Auburn and Jack Schoenberger of Kentucky finished T4 at 11-under to round out the top five.
According to Auburn Athletics, Brendan Valdes became just the fifth player in program history to join the 500 birdies club. With his 515, he now ranks fourth in Auburn history behind J.M. Butler (530), Matt Gilchrest (533), and Jovan Rebula (543).
