Lana Yamagata took down incoming Harvard freshman Nicole Iniakov to win the Women's Championship Division
The winners have been crowned at the marathon that is the San Francisco City Championship.
And Mitchell Hoey needed every hole at the iconic TPC Harding Park to secure the win in the Men's Championship Division.
The Saint Mary's senior and Alamo, Calif., native Hoey defeated former Notre Dame golfer Angelo Marcon 1-up in the final match on Sunday. The two were tied heading into the 36th hole, and after Marcon put his tee ball in the water, Hoey made a bogey to win the hole and the championship.
Hoey defeated Eli Weidmann in the semifinals after Weidmann used an early eagle to propel him to a win in his quarterfinal match over 2024 runner-up AJ Fitzgerald. Hoey also won the 2025 AGC Pacific Grove Championship.
Marcon upset stroke play qualifying co-medalist Jack Hayden of Dublin, Calif., in the final four to earn his spot in the final match. The Santa Clara freshman survived his first match against Roshan Chandra in 19 holes and then defeated Sean Etow 3 and 2. Hayden defeated Michael Perchak in the round of 16 and Joshua Wang in the quarterfinals before falling to Marcon in the semifinals.
Hayden was the co-medalist along with his brother and teammate at Santa Clara, Joey Hayden.
In the Women's Championship Division, 2024 stroke play qualifying medalist and incoming Harvard freshman Nicole Iniakov faced off against Lana Yamagata in the final match, with Yamagata coming out victorious 2 and 1.
Iniakov defeated Lauren Gebauer in the semifinals. Gebauer, an Orinda, Calif., resident, was the 2023 NCGA Women's Player of the Year and is a practicing dermatologic surgeon who recently won the Phoenix Junior Open, and Yamagata is heading to UNLV in the fall. In the semifinals, Yamagata defeated Wa Yeung Tong, a collegiate golfer at CSU Monterey Bay.
In the men's Senior Championship Division, Steve Johnson defeated 2025 stroke play qualifying medalist Robert Funk 2 up to win the championship. Funk defeated Craig Miyamoto in the semifinals, who won the 2024 AmateurGolf.Com Winter Invitational, and Johnson defeated Joseph Schiebold 2up.
In the men's Super Senior Division, Jeff Duncan needed 19 holes to take down 2024 Super Senior champion Matt Vukevich.
Vukevich defeated Ray Kong in 19 holes in the semifinals, a rematch of last year's final to face Duncan in the final match. Duncan defeated Jim Williams in the semifinals, the medalist at the Super Senior Qualifying for back-to-back years.
In the women's Senior Championship, the top two seeds battled for the championship, with No. 2 seed Melissa Spencer defeating No. 1 Kate Zhang 2 and 1.
In the Julie Inkster Flight, Sophia Lee won by default over Sydney Silva. Lee was 4-up through ten holes when Silva had to medically withdraw.
