The Florida State Seminoles just keep winning.

For the 4th consecutive tournament start, the Florida State Seminoles Women’s team has swept team and individual victories, this time at the Briar’s Creek Invitational in John’s Island, South Carolina. 

The Seminoles fired rounds of 280 and 287 to pull away from Purdue and SMU, who tied for second place, 14 shots behind. Florida State built a commanding nine-shot lead after the opening round and reinforced it with another under-par performance, finishing as the only team to post two red numbers.

Mirabel Ting and Lottie Woad led the charge, securing first and third place, respectively, while Sophia Fullbrook added a steady presence, finishing 17th. Alexandra Gazzoli, competing as an individual, also impressed with a ninth-place showing.

Woad is currently ranked No. 1 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com Women's Rankings.

Across 36 holes, the Seminoles racked up three eagles and 32 birdies—both the best in the field. The tournament's final round, scheduled for Monday, was canceled due to inclement weather.



The last time the Seminole women left a tournament without both a team and individual victory was October 22, 2024, when they finished fourth at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup.

Since then, they have dominated the field, securing team and individual wins at four consecutive events: the Landfall Tradition in October (Woad), the Guadalajara Collegiate in January (Ting), the Moon Invitational in February (Woad), and most recently, the Briar’s Creek Invitational in March (Ting).

Ting fired rounds of 67 and 66 to finish at 11-under, cruising to a five-shot victory over Purdue’s Jasmine Kahler, who took solo second at 6-under. SMU’s Mackenzie Lee and Florida State’s Lottie Woad shared third at 5-under, while Purdue’s Momo Sugiyama and Minnesota’s Isabella McCauley rounded out the top five at 4-under.

Ting dominated the field in par-4 and par-5 scoring, recording two eagles along the way, while Lee led all players in par-3 scoring, making 3 birdies and no bogeys. 

This marks Ting’s second win of 2025, following her victory at the Guadalajara Invitational in January. According to Clippd’s college golf rankings, she sits at No. 3 for the season, with Woad close behind at No. 6.

The Florida State Seminoles will be back in action next week at the Old Barnwell Match Play in Aiken, South Carolina, looking to extend their winning streak to five consecutive tournaments.
