The two amateurs both finished in the top 25 in the LPGA's first major of the year
In both of their professional golf debuts, Jasmine Koo finished T13 and 3-under, and Lottie Woad finished T23 and 1-under at the Chevron Championship at Carlton Woods at The Woodlands, Tex.
Koo shot rounds of 74-70-70-71 to get to 3-under, while Woad shot rounds of 71-69-73-74 to get to 1-under. Woad got out to a fast start, while Koo used the weekend to work her way up the leaderboard.
Woad recently won the 2024 Augusta National Women's Amateur, birding three of the last four holes to secure the win. She is ranked No. 3 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com Women's Rankings.
Koo won the 2023 Women's Western Amateur and finished in solo fourth place at the 2024 ANWA.
Koo had one of the craziest shots of the tournament, hitting it off a floatable on the water and over the back of the green. Even more impressive, she made birdie on the hole.
"That is something I have never seen in all of my years playing and watching golf." Jasmine Koo's shot off an advertising board in the water at The Chevron Championship drew quite the reaction. pic.twitter.com/dZOiWEJQLK

Just two weeks after winning ANWA, Woad was in the thick of things after the second round. She was 4-under and T10, just four shots off the lead.
After shooting a 1-under 71 in the opening round of her first professional major, the Florida State sophomore from England tallied five birdies during her round. True to form, Woad was outstanding with her irons, hitting 15 greens on Friday.
"It's definitely been a whirlwind. I didn't really have a chance to let Augusta sink in," Woad said on Friday. I was just coming here straightaway. I obviously took a lot of confidence from Augusta, so just trying to use that for this week."
