Blessings Collegiate Invitational: John Driscoll leads Arkansas to the win

Weather caused the tournament to quit after 36 holes and cancel the final round.

John Driscoll and Arkansas successfully completed the individual and team sweep at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Ark.

The event was shortened to just 36 holes of stroke play after inclement weather forced the tournament officials to cancel the final round.

At first, the round was delayed by lightning, and then more storms caused the outright cancellation.

Because of the weather, the first and second-round scores went final, and John Driscoll of Arkansas won the individual competition by four shots.

Hunter Logan of Mississippi State and Alex Goff of Kentucky finished tied for second place at 4-under. Brock Winter of Minnesota and Manuel Lozada of Arkansas finished T4 at 2-under.

Five golfers sit in T6 at 1-under.

In the team competition, the Arkansas "A" team won with a final score of 13-under, six shots clear of second place Mississippi State, who finished in solo second place at 7-under.

Washington finished in solo third place at 1-over, and the Arkansas "B" team finished in solo fourth place at 7-over, and Kentucky finished in solo fifth place at 14-over.
