Qualifying for the U.S. Mid-Amateur has been completed at 65 sites across the country. See who made it to Colorado GC
Sectional qualifying for the 39th U.S. Mid-Amateur, contested over 18 holes at 65 sites across the United States, began Aug. 5 and continued through Aug. 22.
4,751 entries were accepted for the championship, to be held at Colorado Golf Club in Parker, Colo. 37 players, including the defending champion Kevin O'Connell, are exempt into the championship, with the remainder of the 264-player field coming from sectional qualifying.

Scott Gordon (Sacramento, Calif.) got the 2019 qualifying season off to a great start, coming home in 30 to shoot an 8-under 64 at North Ridge CC, earning medalist honors by four shots. The final two spots were determined by a 4-for-2 playoff.

Johnny Delprete (Juno Beach, Fla.) was the medalist with a 65.

Ben Jorgensen thought he had signed up for the U.S. Amateur qualifier, but when the pairings came out he didn't see his name. Turns out he had inadvertently signed up for the U.S. Mid-Amateur qualifier instead. Good thing too, because he shot a 68 at Soldier Hollow GC in Midway, Utah to earn the final qualifying spot and advance to the championship
