Former AmateurGolf.com Tour player and Cal star Max Homa won his first pro event playing Titleist and Project X
Max Homa is a player we know quite a bit
about here at AmateurGolf.com.
From his beginnings in Valencia, Calif. to his rise at Cal -- including his appearances in AmateurGolf.com Tour events -- we've long followed Homa's growth in the game.
That growth took a major turn this past weekend when the first-year professional won his first event at the Web.com Tour's BMW Charity Pro-Am thanks to a spectacular 8-under 63.
”It's surreal,” Homa told Team Titleist. “It's emotional. I didn't win a lot in college and to come out and do it quickly means a lot to me and gives me a lot of confidence for wherever I may wind up at the end of the year."
In his win, Homa used a bag full of Titleist equipment, including Project X shafts. Here's a look at what was in Max Homa's bag in his first professional victory:
Golf Ball: Pro V1x
Driver: 913D2 (9.5º) with Mitsubishi Rayon Diamana B-series 70 shaft, X-flex, AŸ1 SureFit Hosel Setting
