Mickelson's Callaway Chrome Soft X Triple Track Ball Released

Phil Mickelson shot 60 in his first competitive round with it and won shortly after; now the ball will be available for everyone

When Callaway released the Chrome Soft X golf ball last year, many tour players put the ball in play, including staff member Phil Mickelson.

This year the ERC Soft was released, which gave golfers three Triple Track lines on the ball for improved putting alignment and accuracy.

It turns out that Mickelson liked the idea, and so Callaway put the Triple Track on his Chrome Soft X ball. The result? In his first competitive round with the new ball, he shot a 60 at Palm Springs, and then followed it up with a convincing victory at Pebble Beach.

The Chrome Soft X is specifically designed for the “X” player who wants fast ball speed and low driver spin, workability through the bag, and excellent spin and control on iron shots and short game shots around the green.

The Chrome Soft X with Triple Track will be available for retail at $44.99 per dozen starting April 19.
