Zigfield Troy Open: Raymond Knoll wins unique par 3 event

A year after finishing tied for third and one shot out of a playoff Raymond Knoll has won the Zigfield Troy Open

WOODRIDGE, IL (July 2, 2017) - A year after finishing tied for third and one shot out of a playoff Raymond Knoll has won the Zigfield Troy Open. The recent Iowa graduate finished the par-3 tournament 7-under and as the five-stroke winner following tallies of 50-51. At Iowa, Knoll was a two-time second team All-Big 10 selection and also finished his career by being named to the Division I PING All-Midwest Regional Team three consecutive years. Tres Steffey (-2) finished second, Andy Roderique (-1) and Chris Beyer (-1) shared third while Kirk Blakney (+1) and Michael Fastert (+1) tied for fifth. Defending champion Kelly Grassel (+2) who just wrapped up her career at Florida finished in a tie for seventh. ABOUT THE ZIGFIELD TROY OPEN “Bombers” need not apply.
