Zach Jones wins another St. George Amateur title

The BYU commit wins for the second time in three years by rolling in a 30-footer on the second playoff hole

ST. GEORGE, Utah (January 20, 2019) - BYU commit Zach Jones won the St. George Amateur in dramatic fashion on Sunday, rolling in a 30-foot birdie putt on the second playoff hole to edge out Tristan Mandur of the University of Utah. Both players finished the tournament at 9-under 137 on the par-73 St. George Golf Club. For Jones, it was his second St. George Amateur title in three years. In 2017, he rode an opening-round 65 to a four-shot win. Mandur's consolation was winning the top prize in the concurrent Net competition. In the Senior division, Kirk Saddens took the win with a score of 2-under 144.
