ST. GEORGE, Utah ( Feb. 25, 2012) -- Kyle Chappell shot 65 in the second round to catch first round leader Nick Drost. Both players completed the 36-hole championship at 5- under-par, 137. However, Drost made good on the first playoff hole, beating Chappell by one stroke and claiming the championship. Nick Drost becomes the 13th consecutive first-time winner of the tournament, an event which has not had a player win multiple times.
George Williams captured Net Honors with a score of 137 (-5).
First flight was captured by Jason Celeya with a gross score of 147 (+5). First flight Net honors went to Darin Michel at 128 (-14).
Senior flight Gross winner was Jim Kane at 142 (Even) and Net winner was Michael Stauffer at 130 (-12).
