Walker Cup: Saturday morning foursomes pairings at Seminole

Players are ready, and Seminole Golf Club is ready. It's time for the 48th Walker Cup matches in South Florida.

You can watch more than 10 hours of coverage on Golf Channel and Peacock, as the historic matches that place USA against Great Britain and Ireland get underway. Foursomes is first -- with 8 of the 10 USA players (including first alternates Mac Meissner for USA and Jake Bolton for GB&I) get ready to do battle for each side.

Meissner looked cool as a cucumber as he warmed up listening to some classic rock. "Tom Petty?" I asked him?

"I was earlier," he replied.

When in Florida...

The alternates were at the ready, given the non-Covid virus that hit both teams (and captains) hard Thursday and Friday. Hopefully all original ten players on both sides will see action before the weekend is done, as allowed for in the official match rules.
