U.S. Women's Open: Minjee Lee remains in hunt

PINEHURST, N.C. (June 21, 2014) -- Amateur Minjee Lee remains in the hunt at the 2014 U.S. Women's Open Championship. Lee, from Australia, shot a Saturday 72 and sits tied for third place at 2-over entering Sunday's final round from Pinehurst No. 2. Lee has been inside the Top 5 since a first-round 69 and is currently four shots back of co-leaders Amy Yang and Michelle Wie. Lee is the two-time reigning Australian Women's Amateur champion and won the 2012 U.S. Junior Championship. Earlier this year, Lee was victorious at a professional event in Australia. Canadian Brooke Mackenzie Henderson continued her solid play, shooting a 72 on Saturday. A recent Women's Porter Cup winner, Henderson has carded rounds of 71-73-72 and is currently tied for 18th. France's Mathilda Cappeliez (14-over, T60), Chisato Hashimoto of Japan (15-over, T64) and Americans Andrea Lee and Emma Talley (both 16-over, T68) are the other amateurs playing the weekend at Pinehurst.
