U.S. Amateur: TV Times, Schedule of Play from Riviera CC

Two of the most storied clubs in California, and the United States for that matter, are hosting the 2017 U.S. Amateur.

PACIFIC PALISADES, California (Aug. 10, 2017) -- Two of the most storied clubs in California, and the United States for that matter, are hosting the 2017 U.S. Amateur. Both Riviera and Bel-Air Country Clubs will be used for the medal play qualifying portion of the championship, with Riviera hosting all matches until a champion is crowned on Sunday, August 20. One thing is for sure -- a new champion will hold the Havemeyer Trophy, since 2016 champion Curtis Luck of Australia is now a professional.

We highly recommend coming out to watch, and if you hurry and ask nice (follow us on Facebook and send us a note) we might be able to hook you up with some tickets. But even If you can't make it, don't worry, AmateurGolf.com has you covered with daily reports and highlights, and of course we recommend watching the amazing golfers in the field on FS1 (early matches) and FOX who does an excellent job with the live coverage. Aug. 14 (Monday): First round, stroke play (Riviera and Bel-Air CCs)
Aug. 15 (Tuesday): Second round, stroke play (Riviera and Bel-Air CCs)
Aug. 16 (Wednesday): First round, match play (all matches at Riviera)
Aug. 17 (Thursday): Second and third rounds, match play
Aug. 18 (Friday): Quarterfinal round, match play
Aug. 19 (Saturday): Semifinal round, match play
Aug. 20 (Sunday): 36-hole championship final, match play

Television Coverage

The 2017 U.S. Amateur will receive at least 15 hours of live network coverage over five days on FS1 and Fox, beginning with Wednesday’s Round-of-64 matches. The USGA will fill in another 4 hours of coverage on their website www.usga.org/usam with coverage of the round-of-32 on Thursday and the morning half of the championship match on Sunday. All times Pacific Daylight Time, the time zone where the tournament is being played.
