Two tie for win at shortened Wyoming Senior Amateur

John Hornbeck and Roger Sheaffer both shot 68 in the first round of the 2013 Wyoming Senior Amateur, tying for the win after play was cancelled due to weather

CHEYENNE, WY (Sept. 15, 2013) - What was supposed to be a 36-hole event at Cheyenne Country Club was shortened to just 18 on Sunday as inclement weather forced tournament officials to cancel the 2013 Wyoming Senior Amateur's final round. The result ended in two players tying for the technically win, as first-round co-leaders John Hornbeck and Roger Sheaffer shot 68 on Saturday and finished the event in first. Two players shared third place, sitting three shots back of Hornbeck and Sheaffer heading into Sunday's round. Mark Isakson and Robert Gill were the only two players under par after 18 holes other than the co-leaders, shooting 71 on Saturday. Cheyenne Country Club is offering a free round of golf to all 2013 participants due to Sunday's cancellation.
