Robert Nelson and Walker Grant, the first-round leaders, found themselves tied for the top spot after Round 2

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (Oct. 13, 2018) – First-round leaders Robert Nelson and Walker Grant carded a second-round 67 at Wynlakes Golf & Country Club on Saturday to maintain a partial hold on the top spot of the Alabama Senior Four-Ball leaderboard. The pair finished 36 holes at 13-under 131 and now find themselves tied for first with Steve Hudson and Claud Cooper, who posted a 7-under 65 in the second round.

Hudson and Cooper outplayed every other team in the field on Saturday with their bogey-free round. In fact, the pair has had only one bogey so far this week – on the par-5 first on Friday.

Nelson and Grant will be motivated to defend their 2017 title. They also won this event in 2014.

After two rounds, 18 teams are under par with the field average score at 71.72. The field has also carded 103 birdies so far and one eagle.

In the Super Senior Division, Tommy Williams and Lamar Hart grabbed the lead after firing a 9-under 63. That gave them a four-stroke advantage over David Fry and Wayne Gardner.
