Frierson Captures 100th Texas Junior Amateur, Lee Claims First Major Title

Austin's Kaden Frierson fires bogey-free 68 in Round 2, then closes with 70 to win Boys championship; Lois Lee runs away with Girls crown at 9-under

FRISCO — Austin's Kaden Frierson became the 100th Texas Junior Amateur Boys Division champion Wednesday, posting a 4-under 212 total to win by two strokes at Stonebriar Country Club. Flower Mound's Lois Lee dominated the Girls Division with a 9-under 207, claiming her first Legends Junior Tour major championship by six strokes.

Frierson, who opened with a 2-over 74, battled back with a bogey-free 68 in Tuesday's second round to position himself tied for second. That momentum carried into the final round, where he played near-flawless golf down the stretch to claim the historic title.
