The Auburn Tigers shot 45 under as a team to win the Maui Jim Intercollegiate and secure one of the most unique trophies in sports - a surfboard.
"I'm thrilled with how I played. I felt great with the putter and hit a lot of good tee shots and wedges," Eshleman said after shooting the best round in Auburn golf history. "I'm very thankful to do it all while representing the Auburn name. Whenever you earn a place in history, especially with this program, it means absolutely everything."
J.M. Butler , Louisville, Ky., and Evan Vo, Austin, Texas, led the way in the final round. Vo shot a bogey-free 65 which included birdies on holes Nos. 16-18. Not to be outdone, Butler birdied the last five holes on his way to a 64, including a back nine 30 that included no pars.
Arizona State finished five shots back with a score of 40-under par. The Florida State Seminoles rounded out the top three ten shots behind Auburn.
This summer's Elite Amateur Cup winner, Caleb Surratt, must be a believer in the endless summer. He kicked off his college career with the lowest 54-hole score in relation to par in Tennessee history. He earned individual honors carding scores of 64-63-65, making 22 birdies, 2 bogies, and one double bogey for an 18-under par total.
