Stanford University once again proved its home dominance as the Cardinal stormed to victory at the Stanford Intercollegiate, hosted at the Stanford Golf Course. In a deep field of nationally ranked programs, Stanford posted a blistering 35-under-par team total across three rounds to outpace Oregon (-14) and Southern California (-10) in one of the fall’s premier NCAA women’s events.
At the top of the individual board, senior Megha Ganne delivered a masterclass in control and closing power, finishing at 10-under to secure the third victory of her collegiate career and cap a standout week on home turf.
Ganne’s Legacy Grows
Already one of the most decorated players in program history, Ganne adds the Stanford Intercollegiate to a résumé that includes the 125th U.S. Women’s Amateur title, the 2024 NCAA Team Championship, and multiple WGCA All-America honors. The Holmdel, New Jersey native owns Stanford’s program record scoring average and continues to thrive in marquee fields.
Ganne edged a trio of challengers who finished one shot back at nine under: Catherine Park (USC), Paula Martín Sampedro (Stanford), and Kiara Romero (Oregon).
Stanford’s Depth on Display
Behind Ganne, the Cardinal showcased balance from top to bottom, turning in team rounds of -13, -12, and -10 without relinquishing the lead. The performance underscores Stanford’s status as the nation’s pace-setter heading into the winter break.
