The No. 2 ranked West Florida men’s golf team in the Scoreboard NCAA Division II rankings successfully defended its title at the Southeastern Collegiate, finishing at 21-under 843 (280-281-282) at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, Georgia.
The victory marked West Florida’s third consecutive tournament win, following titles at the Matlock Classic last month and the Las Vegas Desert Classic two weeks earlier.
The Southeastern Collegiate once again featured a strong field with four of the nation’s top 10 teams in attendance, including No. 2 West Florida, No. 3 Lee University, No. 4 Florida Southern, and No. 7 Georgia Southwestern.
Columbus State, ranked No. 11 nationally, finished runner-up at 18-under (285-270-291), three shots behind West Florida. Nova Southeastern, the 2024 champion, finished T-9 at 1-over.
In the individual competition, Lincoln Memorial freshman Harry Dickins captured the title at 13-under 203 (67-64-72), securing a one-shot victory. Dickins seized control of the tournament with a second-round 64, the lowest round of the event, before closing with a 72 to hold off the field.
Defending champion and West Florida senior Cooper Tendick, alongside Barry University freshman Eduardo Matarazzo, finished T-2 at 12-under. Tendick fired rounds of 68-70-66, while Matarazzo posted 67-65-72.
West Florida’s balanced scoring across all three rounds helped the Argonauts maintain control in a tournament that once again featured some of the top programs in NCAA Division II golf.
