PEACHTREE CITY, GA (May 2, 2017) - It took two playoff holes but in the end John Armstrong was able to outlast Evan Long and win the Society of Senior John Kline Super Seniors.
Armstrong moved into a tie of the lead during the second and then continued his strong play on Wednesday at Planterra Ridge Golf Club. For the week Armstrong combined rounds of 70-73-74--217 while for Long it was tallies of 71-73-73--217.
Bill Leonard (71-74-73--218) and Wyatt Meyer (75-74-69--218) shared third while Bev Hargraves (70-75-74--219) and David Crocker (76-71-72--219) tied for fifth.
In the Grand Master Division Harry Cain (73-74-69--216) won the title by two shots over Dick Van Leuvan (72-74-72--218). A pair of players; George Washburn (77-69-75--221) and Nick Kirkland (74-71-76--221) shared third while two others were tied for fifth.
