Showcase at Cedar Crest: Gregory Odom Jr. jumps into the lead in the Men's Division

Allyn Stephens leads by two shots in the Women's Division with 18 holes remaining.

The leaderboards are taking shape at the Inaugural Southwest Airlines Showcase at Cedar Crest Golf Course in Dallas, Tex.

In the Men’s Division, Memphis native Gregory Odom Jr, a graduate student at Howard University, soared up six spots to the top of the leaderboard after a 5-under par 66 over the 6,510-yard track, moving to 7-under after two rounds.

Orlando native Joshua Siplin, also attending Howard University and Odom's teammate, moved up one spot to solo second with a 2-under 69, good for a 6-under par after two rounds.

Third place in the Men’s Division is shared by KJ Ofahengaue and Christian Rodriguez, both at 5-under. Lehi, Utah native Ofahengaue, attending Utah Tech, shot 3-under 68, a five-spot jump up the leaderboard.

Round One leader Rodriguez, from Houston and who plays at UT-San Antonio, shot 1-over par 72.

Houston native Allyn Stephens, attending the University of Tulsa, shot a 4-under par 67 on the 5,804-yard course and moved up two spots to secure the lead in the Women’s Division of the 54-hole competition at 5-under.

Emma Henningsson from Jonkoping, Sweden, who attends the University of South Dakota, and Amber Pennington from Kingston, New York, are tied for second place in Round Two of the showcase at 3-under par.

The highlight of the day was Henningsson’s hole-in-one on the 136-yard par-3 No. 15 with a 9-iron. Henningsson went on to card an 8-under 63, tying the Cedar Crest overall course record and shattering the women’s course record by 3 strokes.

Pennington, who plays at Delaware State University, shot 3-under 68, climbing two spots on the Women’s Division leaderboard.
