Serrao, Sleeker take home Richmond Broach Memorial title

The team of Steve Serrao and Alex Sleeker fired a 68 in the modified alternate shot format to overcome a four-shot deficit

GLEN ALLEN, Va. — The team of Steve Serrao and Alex Sleeker fired a 68 in the modified alternate shot format to overcome a four-shot deficit and win this year's Richmond Golf Association Nelson Broach Memorial at The Federal Club. Their four-under round was low for the day, followed by John Reynolds/DJ Dougherty's 69, which was good enough for a tie for second with defending champs Ben Keefer/Rich Jeremiah. First-round leaders Larry Loving/Scott Campbell, who shot 66 in the four-ball portion, couldn't get anything going and finished with a 76 in the final round. In the Senior Division, Leon Roday and Phil White shot a second round 71 and cruised to a 6-shot victory, their second straight Broach crown.
