JOHNSTOWN, PA (September 13, 2017) - Sean Knapp is enjoying being a senior golfer.

Shortly after turning 55, Knapp won his first professional event, the Tri-State Open.

Two weeks ago, he became a USGA champion for the first time, winning the U.S. Senior Amateur Championship at the Minikahda Club in Minneapolis.

Today Knapp won his second straight senior championship, dominating the field at the Sunnehanna Senior Championship in an eight-shot win.

Knapp shot rounds of 69-69-66 for a 204 total, building his lead each day from one shot, to five, to the final margin of eight.

His closest pursuer was last week's Senior Porter Cup champion Keith Decker of Martinsville, VA. Decker shot a final-round 68 and still lost ground to Knapp, but did move into the runner-up spot with a 212 total.

Bob Beck of Allentown, PA finished solo third, but twelve shots behind Knapp at 216. Mike Occi of Bonita Springs, FL was fourth and Duke Delcher of Bluffton, SC was fifth.

In the Super Senior division, Don Donatoni of Malvern, PA shot a final-round 68 to come from behind and win by three shots over Paul Schlachter of Bridgeville, PA. Donatoni shot 73-70-68 for a 211 total.

The two players turned the tournament into a match play battle, as the next closest players were a full nine shots behind Schlacter.
