Phillip Dunham from Ponte Vedra, Fla., and Bridget Wilkie from Bluffton, SC, won individual titles in the Boys and Girls category at the Sea Pines Junior Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links, a regular PGA TOUR spot in Hilton Head Island, S.C.
16-year-old Dunham, ranked 5th on the AJGA Rankings, shot 1-over 144 following his rounds of 72-72 to win the Boy's division by a massive seven-shot margin over the field.
Talan Harrison from Kannapolis, Will Guthrie from Charlotte, N.C., Daniel McBrien from Holly Springs, N.C., and Giuseppe Puebla from Royal Palm Beach, Fla., all finished with matching totals of 8-over par, securing a joint runner-up position in the tournament. Specifically, Harrison posted rounds of 80-71, Guthrie shot rounds of 77-74, McBrien shot rounds of 76-75, and Puebla shot rounds of 75-76.
Last year, Dunham participated in 10 ranked junior events, securing two wins and achieving three additional top-10 finishes for the season.
In the Girl's Division, Wilkie, who has expressed her verbal commitment to the University of Notre Dame, shot 8-over 151 with rounds of 75-76 to secure a four-shot win over the field in the division. Emerson B. Dever of Durham, S.C, secured a runner-up finish, posting rounds of 77-78 for a total of 12-over par.
The Boys' division featured the participation of 57 juniors, while the Girls' division included 30 competitors in the tournament.
