Schremmer breaks through for first college win, leads Miami to Boilermaker Classic team title

A summer of winning carried straight into the fall. Scarlett Schremmer closed with a 67 to win the Boilermaker Classic individual title at 6 under — and led Miami to the team championship on the same afternoon.

The scoring plate says it all: two of them, actually — one for the individual, one for the team. Scarlett Schremmer stood on the closing green at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex in West Lafayette, Indiana holding both, capping her first collegiate victory with a final-round 67 to finish the Boilermaker Classic Women's Collegiate at 6 under par.

For a player who has spent the past year waiting to compete, the breakthrough had a certain inevitability to it. The Birmingham, Alabama native transferred to Miami from Texas A&M and sat out the spring of 2026 under transfer rules — which meant that while she was ranked among the best young amateurs in the country, she had barely teed it up in a Hurricanes uniform. The Boilermaker Classic was one of her first real chances to show what Miami had been waiting on. She answered it by winning the whole thing.
