Satchel Herrmann wins Yorba Linda City with final-round 66

The former Cal State Northridge golfer from Ventura erases a four-shot deficit with a flawless round at Black Gold GC

Satchel Herrmann shot a stellar 6-under 66 in the final round to overcome a four-shot deficit and win the Yorba Linda City Championship at Black Gold Golf Club.

The former Cal State Northridge golfer from Ventura, Calif., opened the tournament with a 2-under 70, putting him four shots behind the leader Benjamin Hong (Brea, Calif.). But he put together a bogey-free round, racking up six birdies to take control as Hong faded with a 75.

Tongun Lako LoSarah (Upland, Calif.) was the only player other than Herrmann to post back-to-back under par rounds, shooting 71-70 to tie for second with Hong.

Kurtis Rodriguez (Red Bluff, Calif.) finished fourth at even par, while Kyle An (Aliso Viejo, Calif.) rounded out the top five at 1 over par.
